Poetry #84: Screams Without A Sound

As the evening sets

And the day forgets

An ache builds in her chest

All she wants is a deep, replenishing rest

She screams silently into her pillow when no one else is around

And cries and screams without a sound

Her mind spins and pounds

Souls see her thinking she is doing well

But everyday she exists in a living hell

A bottomless well

Time hasn’t quelled her fears

Every day alone she sheds those tears

She knows her crumbling and overwhelming existence, her end, is near.

Poetry #78: For Mum

Mum, I want you to know that I love you so

Encased in your womb for nine months to grow

Mother and daughter, a special bond spanning a life time

Our hearts are entwined by an invisible thread that shines

I will always thank you for your tender care

For deep warm hugs and being there

You gave the gift of life to me

And you set your daughter free

You held this soul and cared for me

I was your little girl

Your own baby pearl

Our souls connected on this timeline

Even through the words of this rhyme

In this universal lifetime

Our souls growing and learning

Adventures and journeying

I’m sorry for the pain I caused

Just know that my intention was never to hurt you or tear you apart

I was lost and confused and didn’t know where to start

I had no friends and put the weight of my world on your heart

Expunging pain after pain

Turning both of us insane

Suicide attempt after attempt

I hated myself with contempt

The struggles you’ve been through with me

Listening to me for hours

Crying with me

Holding thee

Seeing me on a hospital bed

I hope one day you see me dancing instead

Sometimes I wish things didn’t have to be this way

But that is our life path and I am accepting that it is okay

Always there when I need you

I hope to return the favour one day when you need me, I will be there too

Your beautiful green eyes

Irish roots flowing through your veins I recognize

Your joyful smile

And heart warming laugh

And your sweet scarfs

You are sweet soul, with your inner child still in tact

Which in fact

Many adults have lost

At what cost?

You remind me of myself

Of course, we look a like

You loved me enough to also be my friend

You would be right there in ways that no one could comprehend

I hope when you think of me

A part of you will always see

The light within thee

I apologise for all the hurt I’ve caused you

Just know that no matter what, I will always forever love you.

Amber, your daughter.

The India Farmer’s Protest

“The India Farmer’s Protest should be making worldwide headlines. But it isn’t. Because everyone would be encouraged to imitate their courage.” – Dr Julianne Romanello

Not my words. But the sentiment perfectly encapsulated.

National and international media have been heavily censoring what is now being known as the largest peaceful protest in the history of humanity, which took place on November 26, 2020 in India. A staggering 250,000,000 people from various industry sectors stood together in a united workers strike, approximately 20% of India’s population. To put that figure into perspective, that’s almost four times the population of the U.K. and 75% of the U.S. population.

The strike action was in response to the nefarious farm bills surreptitiously passed on 23 September 2020, without debate, during India’s brutal lockdown, in an attempt to pressure the Modi government to repeal the bills. The superficially benevolent bills threaten domestic and global food sovereignty, the livelihood of farmers and accelerate the globalist takeover of the food supply, inextricably linked with Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development Goals.

The one-day stand-off has snowballed into what is now the largest people’s uprising ever seen on our planet. Massive ‘insta-city’ encampments have formed at Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur borders into Delhi, the main protest sites, with an estimated 345,000 farmers and protesters currently encamped – eating, sleeping, washing, praying – in what is now the winter season with evening temperatures dipping to around 0 degrees. With roads and highways completely blocked going into the capital, farmers and cross-industry sector protesters are standing in absolute unity and solidarity, from teachers unions to lawyers unions, Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims alike, fighting for their lives and their livelihood. And it’s growing. Thousands more, each day, from all over India, march towards the capital, in solidarity with the Farmers Protests to force the Indian PM to repeal these nefarious Acts. The farmers have vowed to stay for as long as it takes for the laws to be repealed, several months, even years. Forty have lost their lives so far, including counts of suicide.”

Poetry #64: A Conversation Between A Mom & Son

“Mom, why do the best people die?”

“When you’re in a garden, which flowers do you pick?”

“The most beautiful ones.”

Not to say that we aren’t all beautiful

We are all kindred spirits

But the souls who are sensitive

Compensative

Intensitive

Sometimes fall

This earthly realm

Is too much to hold in the helm

Of their hearts.

Poetry #60: Spiraling Out Of Control

The dark days

The immovable days that feel like forever

Happiness is something I can’t remember

Blue lips, blue veins

Soon I will be cold again

This life is mine to keep or take

Our fellow friends

Want to meet their ends

Something is not being spoken about

Lockdown

Mental health spiraling

Out of control

No payroll

No support

No friends to call

Stuck in a house

This is not how we live our lives

Obidence leading

Freedoms receding

Conceiving

A life lack of meaning

No wonder you want to take your life

I understand

I wish I could take your hand

Hope is being lost

Faith in governments and institutions

Is fizzling away

Stuck in our homes

Slipping away

I don’t know how I can live another day

Anxiety is a liar

A devil on your shoulder

You have the power to question

That what fear assumes

Know you are eternal

Even if now it seems abysmal

In the abyss of the sunken eyes of your soul.
