What Is Samadhi?

Samadhi is the 8th and final stage on the eightfold path of yoga. It is a state of consciousness where individual awareness dissolves into the great Whole and unifes. There are different levels of Samadhi, or different stages of connection with the Divine, but when the word Samadhi is used alone, it usually refers to […]

How Astrology and Human Design Compare and Contrast

Welcome fellow souls to « The Human Family Crash Course Series, » a new project collaborated together by empress2inspire.blog and diosraw.com. Together we will be working on a different topic for each crash course; our third topic is focused on «Western Esotericism.» Each topic will have eight posts with posts on Mondays and Thursdays. We hope you enjoy our series and we look forward to knowing how our posts have inspired you!

When we get deeper into the actual system, we actually see that it sort of combines these 4 ancient systems.

Astrology – Because the human design chart is actually created on the basis of your birth date. There is this moment of birth, the time and the place. Time is however not that important in human design as it is in astrology because design doesn’t actually work with 4 angels in the chart which is the ascendant, the angle of career, the angle of the home and the angle of the partnership. Planets, just like in astrology, there are planets in human design but instead of activating houses and area of life experiences in astrology and signs of the zodiac, in human designs, we look at plants located in these 9 energy centres. They are also going to be in 64 gates. The gates are actually related to the genetic codons that we all carry. There are 64 codons in our DNA.

What is fascinating is that there are 64 hexagrams in the I-Ching book which is the ancient chinese divination oracle. It was very popular in the 60s and Carl Jung was using it, talking about it and traditionally you would use sticks to create lines to make Yin and Yang patterns. So the Yang lines were the solid lines and yin were the broken lines, the masculine and feminine coming together. The way it used to work is that you would toss it 6 times and a hexagram would be formed from this series of lines. Those hexagrams were formed out of two trigrams and the trigrams in chinese cosmology have to do with what’s called a Bagua. This is the 8 archetypes of nature. When these 8 combine with each other, we will have 64 possibilities in these hexagrams. Those hexagrams are living within us as our genetic codons. These codons are located in the energy centres in our bodygraph.

These energy centres are similar to the chakras in our body. This is in accordance with the Vedic Hindu & Chakra System. They are also similar to the sephoras in the Kabbalah. These energy centres combine with each other with what we can use these 36 channels. This is again similar to the tree of life which has the 2 pathways. In Human Design when we look at the biographies, it sort of resonates with others system like Astrology, the I-ching and the Kabbalah and the Vedic Hindu Chakra system,

There is another system which defines our Human Design system and that basically starts 88 days before we were born. When you look at a bodygraph, you will find planets which are in black and there are lines in black, then you will look at red or pink lines and planets. The ones in black is known as conscious personality and the other ones in pink and red signify the 88 days before we were born which is unconscious personality.

Conscious personality is dependent upon where the planets are in your chart and in which house. So you are going to be aware of it. The unconscious is operating at the same time but below the surface. You may not be as aware in your daily life. The unconscious has a lot to do with inherited patterns and there are two ways in which it may be operating :
Genetic or Ancestral
Soul level or Karmic residue
When we look at the bodygraph, both the calculations are very significant.

Symbols #39: Sri Yantra

The Sri Yantra is the most revered of all yantras, or mystical diagrams. It consists of nine interlocking triangles surrounded by two circles of lotus petals. In the middle is a dot, or bindu, which symbolizes the place from which all creation emerges. Its four upright triangles represent male energy, or Shiva, while the five downward facing triangles represent female energy, Shakti. Together, they represent all of the cosmos and the union of its forces.

The Sri Yantra is said to contain the path to enlightenment. Its geometry is so profound, that meditating on its patterns is said to inspire divine wisdom and a sense of oneness. For this reason, the Sri Yantra is considered a powerful tool for spiritual growth.

~Oneness~

Oneness is an experience that transcends the mind. When we experience Oneness, we feel a connection with everything in existence on every level. In other words, we feel ‘at one’ with all things.

Another way to put it is that Oneness is the feeling of fullness, vastness, and completion – it is the experience of embodying our true nature, the Self that exists beyond our limited personalities (also known as our egos).

Other names for Oneness often include Non-Dual Awareness, Unity, Buddha-Nature, Christ-Consciousness, and Enlightenment.

Symbols #17: Bodhi Leaf

As the name suggests, it is a leaf from the Bodhi tree and a celebrated emblem in Buddhism. Lord Buddha who desired spiritual wisdom, in the search of which sacrificed all the princely pleasures finally achieved it under the Spiritual Bodhi tree. After 49 days of rigid meditation, he finally achieved enlightenment and in honor to that, the Bodhi leaf represents spiritual awakening.

It also determines how perseverance is of utmost importance in this materialistic world. The bodhi leaf tries to teach the humankind that without patience and dedication, you will never be able to achieve solace as the answers will not come walking to you, you need to find them.

Poetry #70: Enlightenment Is The Biggest Disappointment

Hidden in plain sight

In the brightness of the night

Are the answers you are seeking

All it takes is a peeking

Within yourself

Enlightenment is the biggest disappointment

For the egoic mind

To find

All is here

In the here and now

Wow

You don’t exist

Resist

The temptation to promote your ego

And your spiritual ego

That will see you go

Into a abyss zone.

Crystals #5: Selenite

“What is Selenite?
Selenite is a crystalline variety of the mineral gypsum. It is a very soft mineral which can be easily scratched with a fingernail and therefore not recommended for jewellery, unless looked after very carefully. If placed in water, Selenite will revert to gypsum.

Selenite Associations
Chakras – Crown Chakra
Zodiac – Taurus
Vibration – Number 8
Typical colours – White, Grey, Green, Orange, Brown

Selenite provides for clarity of the mind, expanding ones awareness of the self and of ones surroundings. It opens the crown and higher crown chakras and accesses angelic consciousness and higher guidance. It can be used to access past lives as well as future lives. Selenite is a calming stone that instils deep peace and is excellent for meditation or spiritual work. It assists judgement and insight. It clears confusion and aids in seeing the deeper picture.

Selenite aligns the spinal column and promotes flexibility. It corrects deformities of the skeletal system and can stabilise epileptic disorders. It is used to improve disorders associated with metal poisoning due to teeth fillings and can reverse the effects of “free radicals” in the cell structure. Effects that can be overcome include cancer, tumours, age spots, wrinkles and light sensitivity.”

Guest Post: Practising Shamanism During Covid-19

This is a guest post by shamanic practitioner Nick Levitt.

If you’d like to guest post feel free to connect by going to the blog’s connect page.

I have been a shamanic practitioner for nearly 20 years. I have absorbed many teachings from indigenous shamans, in several countries, as well as from ‘modern’ western teachers and
practitioners.

Currently, I wake up wondering what the day will bring: what changes of freedom, what restrictions on movement, socialising, working and living (as we knew it) may be presented to us.

Not only is Covid dominating our intercourse, but Brexit has slipped into action under it’s’ cape, with little comment or objection, and will affect may many lives socially, economically and spiritually.

This is a time of what is labelled as ‘turmoil’ and chaos. A time of strife and for many a time of a fight for pure survival, and subsequently a time of global panic. It is true that, despite some serious conflicts across the world during my lifetime, the world has not seen such a global threat to humanity. Why? Not because of Covid 19, but because the unsustainable, weak, short-
sighted foundations that have beencreated by the ignorance of our global ‘leaders’ for decades.

Those who have allowed ego and self-importance to mean they put their needs (both political and personal) first. Allowing money making and short sited vision to be the basis of the policies made. We have clung to notions of economy and consumption, repeating destructive patterns that we have been handed again and again. Patterns tied to economy, lack of respect for the planet and peoples of all nations across the planet. But it still feels like our politicians want us to
go back to ‘normal’. But we know ‘normal’ has not supported the greater community of humans and ‘all our relations’ the plants animals and land of our mother earth. It is clear that, during this ‘pandemic’, we have been experiencing a bombardment of signs from Mother Earth, making her voice heard, showing us, the obvious lessons we have ignored, if we do not nourish her, she cannot nourish us. This pandemic is, in the great scheme of things, only a wee nudge, a reminder, along with the climate change catastrophes the world over, of what will happen if we do not stop, take stock, and change our path of self-destruction.

The word ‘extinction’ is now being freely used by scientists and politicians alike to describe the current threat to our planet. But with this comes a sense of fear and powerlessness. So how do we move forward and bring about change?

What we need now is collective bravery.

This is an opportunity to change, to capture this moment. We are in the middle of a seismic shift, a change of paradigm, a change of our values, a change in our models of existence, a change of our capitalist structures, a change of our very humanity, that has not coincidently collided with the pandemic.

We are being asked to wake up and partake, to join the change, to join Spirit, join infinity, join the invisible forces that shape our existence to model a more sustainable and nourishing future. This is the challenge! None of these changes can happen without Intent. Intent, the massively powerful energy that exists within Spirit. It is our intent that moves energy, intent that creates change. Intent is not a thought, but a force of invisible energy that interacts with Spirit. The underlying conduit of our collective dream. Voicing our intent to the universe, voicing our intent of positivity and hope, however hard and contradictory to our current challenges, is this maybe the way? The way we that we can help steer the change to a way of living with love and respect for all humanity and love and respect for the planet that enables our existence.

We need to make a statement with action, make our voices heard, send our arrows of intent to the universe, let Spirit hear us and feel us. Is this the way to help our brothers and sisters on a universal level, one more arrow of hope?

The dilemma we have is how to engage those who have lost loved ones or who are ‘witness’ to suffering, physical, mental and financial.

“Change is neutral” I heard an elder say, “change is there for us to hold and flow with not against”, this is also my belief and I try to absorb and adhere to this philosophy; but I ask how do I convince someone who is struggling to survive, to ‘go with the flow’ of positive change? How do I present this knowledge and portray positivity and hope?

How does the family who cannot eat or cannot even see their families to support them react to this overwhelming information and how do they believe or even have time to consider that we collectively can affect the future in a positive way? I am blessed with my family’s health, blessed with space around me in nature, blessed to be able to feed and educate those around me, so I can at least begin to absorb the myriad of information coming from the wisdom and knowledge of the world of Shamanic Elders. But how do I support those less fortunate?

I was told many years ago that my path was not to withdraw from the everyday western world’ and practice shamanism in a bubble, but to embrace the world I lived in, by bringing the healing methodologies I had been taught, into my community, into my work practice and beyond, that is practicing shamanism!

So, Shamanism has become to me, not just a healing methodology, but an attitude, a way of living, a way of communicating with those around me, a link and a marriage to nature and all that nature gives us; a practice of ceremony and rituals of celebration, that send prayers and intent across the sacred bridge, to meet my spirit guides and teachers to spread hope and optimism.

But most of all, it is a responsibility to use my intent for hope, to represent those who are locked in a struggle and cannot muster the energy to make their ‘arrows’ of intent.

So, I feel that those of us who can, must draw the bow for those that cannot and send those arrows of intent, to step forward and walk a path of strength and love and to create the web of
support.

In the current circumstances, it seems ever more important, that I look at my fellow humans with respect and try not to judge those whose opinions maybe differ and do not fall within step to my
own. To look at their purity not at their darkness, to offer light and love to support them and in parallel to mother nature as she instigates the changes that are happening and that will happen in the future. To swim with the tide and not fight against it.

Some might perceive we are walking on a path of darkness for some time, but this path will only lead to an explosion of light and to a new humanity of love, if we will it, walk it, dream it and allow it to be so.
