Did You Know #64: Nature Vs. Nurture

Rarely do psychologists consider the cause of some behavior as due solely to either “nature” (meaning, roughly, biology) or “nurture” (the environment). For the most part, psychologists will talk about some psychological feature (e.g., how extraverted someone is) as the product of the interaction of both nature and nurture across the lifespan. The idea of behavior being due exclusively to nature or nurture is, actually, something of a myth.

The History & Theory Of Human Design

Welcome fellow souls to « The Human Family Crash Course Series, » a new project collaborated together by empress2inspire.blog and diosraw.com. Together we will be working on a different topic for each crash course; our third topic is focused on «Western Esotericism.» Each topic will have eight posts with posts on Mondays and Thursdays. We hope you enjoy our series and we look forward to knowing how our posts have inspired you!

The Human Design System. An emerging system of empowered self awareness. Designing is the tool of how you are on the genetic level and it provides a laser pointed insight on how your energy interacts with others and how you can live and choose authentically and what’s right for you, in love, in career, travel and all of life’s biggest decisions.

Albert Einstein once said, “A new type of thinking is essential if mankind is to survive and move to higher levels.”

The History and Theory of Human Design

Human Design came through the 80’s and it was channelled and received by a man who then went by the name of “Ra”. This system is a really profound tool and what Human Design practitioners say is just live your design, live the experiment, and see what happens. Human Design is basically a sign of differentiation. It says that we all are 99.9% genetically identical but what we are interested in is that 0.1% that makes us different. Human Design also has the ability to show our conditioning, how we get influenced or affected by our environment and by relationships. It offers profound insights and inexplicable wisdom in every area of our lives including the kind of career we will choose, relationships, the home environment, even talks to us about our sleep patterns and what’s healthier for that. Family relationships are probably the most important aspect of what affects our human design system.

If we look at the history a little bit, in 1987, this is when “Ra” who was formerly an entrepreneur himself, a magazine publisher, ad executive and also a musician. He was on an island of Ibiza in Spain and he had this profound and life altering experience where he received the system through what was called the voice over a period of 8 days. There is a human design system video from Ra on youtube where he describes how intense this experience was and was excruciating even. Basically the voice shared with him this kind of cosmology for the mechanics of the universe. It was both mystical and scientific at the same time and Ra has these experiences of insomnia, confusion. Headaches and what he thought was insanity coming his way. In the years that followed, he slowly started with individuals and friends and clients and that is when he really started to see value in this system. Since its inception in 1987, we have this system of Human Design practised all over the world. In many countries there have been conferences and quite a few books written now.

Chakras #6: Vishuddha (Throat)

The Vishuddha, or throat chakra, gives voice to the heart chakra and controls our ability to communicate our personal power. When it’s functioning at full capacity, it allows us to express ourselves truly and clearly. Someone with a blocked throat chakra will feel like they have trouble finding the words to say how they truly feel.

Location: Throat

What it controls: Communication, self-expression, and truth

Mantra: “I speak my truth, always.”

Color: Light Blue/Turquoise

Element: Sound/Music

Stone: Aquamarine

Yoga pose: Fish Pose

When it develops: 29-35 years old

Chakras #5: Anahata (Heart)

Heart Chakra (Anahata)

The Anahata, or heart chakra, is the bridge between the lower chakras (associated with materiality) and the upper chakras (associated with spirituality). As the name suggests, this chakra can influence our ability to give and receive love—from others and ourselves. Someone with a blocked heart chakra will have difficulty fully opening up to the people in their life. If someone’s heart is open, they can experience deep compassion and empathy.

Location: Center of chest, just above the heart

What it controls: Love, joy, and inner peace

Mantra: “When I love myself, loving others comes easily.”

Color: Green

Element: Air

Stone: Rose Quartz

Yoga pose: Camel Pose

When it develops: 21-28 years old

How To Maintain Social Connections In 2021

Welcome fellow souls to « The Human Family Crash Course Series, » a new project collaborated together by empress2inspire.blog and diosraw.com. Together we will be working on a different topic for each crash course; our second topic is focused on «How To Thrive In 2021.» Each topic will have eight posts with posts on Mondays and Thursdays. We hope you enjoy our series and we look forward to knowing how our posts have inspired you!

As many of us face a more virtual life during this confusing planetary time, it is vital that we maintain social connections to protect our mental well being.

As the below quote elaborates on, human connection is a powerful force that we learn early on in life:

“Never underestimate the empowering effect of human connection. All you need is that one person, who understands you completely, believes in you and makes you feel loved for what you are, to enable you – to unfold the miraculous YOU.” – Drishti Bablani, Wordions

Here are some tips to aid you in maintaining your social connections this year:

Blogging friends. As many of you read this, you will know that you have a blog that can connect you to beings from all across the world. How amazing, right? Use your blog to create friends by leaving comments here and there and seeing if you get a response that resonates with you. Be brave, send out the frequency into the universe that you will find friends on this platform. From personal experience I can say that making friends on WordPress has changed my life, maintaining connections are vital to keep you on the right track.

Friends and family. Have you spoken to your family and friends recently? Maybe we could rekindle a friendship and see how your friends are doing. Sending an email, making that phone call.. reaching out and holding your arms open may be the key to maintaining your social connections. You never know until you reach out.

Use technology to connect with family and friends. From Facebook to FaceTime to Skype to WhatsApp, plenty of options are available.

Check on your neighbors who live alone to ensure they are okay. Strike up regular conversations with these individuals at the same time every day or several times a week. Ask if they need anything before you go to the grocery store. Whether you live in an apartment or a house, you can give much-needed support to others in your community.

Participate in group activities. If you live in an apartment building with a courtyard, for example, someone might lead group activities such as light exercise or talking sessions from the courtyard with residents participating from their balconies and front yards. Or find online group activities you can participate in.

Volunteer. Community support groups could need you for outreach calls, either over the phone or in person, to support others who are not socially connected in some way during this time.

Spend more time in the park or dog park. Say hello to other dog owners or those you pass in the park. Many people might be grateful to connect and chat.

Hang out in your front yard and interact with neighbors. Pull up your chair and chat across the fence while they work in their yards or wash their cars. Talk to postal workers as they deliver mail, or chat with those walking along the sidewalk.

Online support groups. Search around on the internet for online support groups that fit your criteria for what you are looking for within that group. You may feel more supported knowing there are others out there that feel as you do my friend.

Social connections are the threads that bind our communities together. By prioritizing human interactions and finding meaningful ways to connect during this time of physical distance and social isolation, we can support each other.

We hope this post inspires you to understand the importance of social connections during this time; let us know how you manage your social connections below..

Did You Know #48: When Was The First Use Of Fire Amongst Humans?

It is not known for sure when fire was first controlled by humans. Evidence for the use of fire by Homo erectus by about 400,000 years ago has wide scholarly support. Claims for the earliest definitive evidence of control of fire by a member of Homo range from 0.2 to 1.7 million years ago (mya).

Poetry #83: Assumptions

Inflate the ego at your own risk

Your assumptions are brisk

Try to understand

Instead of putting words in your common mind land

That’s a scam

That is not who I am

Everyone has their perception

Of who they think you are

You have a perception

Of who you think you are

Different versions

Exist, of you, excursions

Of this universal Spirit

The true self is behind all things

It unveils it’s wings

This infinite soul being

Is who you are seeing

Look behind your false beliefs

They are but leafs

Of the brief

And cemented presuppositions

Are things as you see them?

Do you see behind the eyes, the gem?

Or is their more to what you think

This soul is on the brink.

Spirituality #11: Lucid Dreaming

“Access to mystical realms is not reserved for the sages alone. Each night in dream time you have an opportunity to transcend the mundane and fly among all creation. Sleep is the state that unites all beings. A delicate respite of vulnerable slumber that we must all succumb. It is a mini death, entering the unknown landscape and the rebirth that morning brings. For those adventurous enough to transcend the material world, a portal to the universe awaits.

The most basic of human functions is the need for sleep. Yet deep within this nebulous state, awaits an opportunity for profound healing and spiritual evolution.

Lucid dreaming is a gate on any consciousness explorer’s journey.

Lucid dreams offer the quickest and most direct pathway to our spiritual destiny. Lucid dreaming is a state of consciousness, when we are aware that we are dreaming. Some might suggest it gives us the ability to control our dreams; this view is driven by ego. Lucid dreaming is best understood as a spiritual state present within each of us that heightens our human experience.

Dreams are our birthright and grant us access to the most potent channels of healing and spiritual enlightenment.”

Philosophy #3: The Six Branches Of Philosophy Explained

Metaphysics is the philosophical branch that studies reality, existence, the nature of being, the physical world, and the universe.

It seeks to answer difficult questions like, what is the nature of reality? How can we say that the world exists outside of our thoughts? How did mankind come to be? How was the universe made? Was the universe made? How can our disembodied minds control or affect our physical bodies? How can we prove the existence of something? Can “nothingness” exist? Etc.

Then there’s my favorite branch, Epistemology. So, Epistemology is often referred to as the theory of knowledge. It delves into the definition, scope, and parameters of knowledge and knowledge formation. It seeks to explain how we acquire knowledge, how knowledge relates to notions like justification, truth, and belief, and how and where it falls in the spectrum of certainty and error.

It is a study that asks big questions like what is knowledge? What can we know for certain? How do we know what we know? How can we acquire knowledge? What is a justified belief, and what makes it justified? Etc.

Logic is the branch of philosophy that studies reasoning. It teaches us how to differentiate between good and bad reasoning and how to construct valid arguments. It seeks answers to questions like, what is valid reasoning? How can you distinguish between a good argument and a bad argument? How can you spot fallacies or errors in an argument?

Now, we’ve all studied logic in one form or another. In Math class, logic came in the form of puzzles or word problems that required the use of inductive or deductive reasoning to arrive at the right equations or solutions. In English/Speech class, we studied fallacies and paradoxes and solved riddles with inferences, which taught us how to create convincing and logical arguments and how to debate properly. And the list goes on.

Ethics, also known as moral philosophy, is often referred to as the study of morality. It seeks to address questions about how we should live our lives, how we define proper conduct, and what we mean by the good life. It’s a study that teaches us what the virtuous life is like and how we can put these virtues into practice.

Ethics concerns itself with questions like, what is the good life? How should we act? What do we mean by virtue? What does “right” even mean?

In the world of philosophy, Aesthetics refers to the study of everything related to beauty, art, and good taste. This includes how we define art, how we feel when viewing art or witnessing beauty, how we judge works of art, and how we form our taste.

This branch of philosophy concerns itself with questions that include: What is art? What makes an artwork successful? Is art an expression of feelings? Can it be a “vehicle of truth?” Is “good taste” innate or learned? And, is art and morality connected?

Last on our list is Politics or Political Philosophy. As you can already tell from its name Political Philosophy examines various concepts related to politics, government, laws, liberty, justice, rights, authority, state, and even ethics (ethical ruling). It discusses how states should be built and run, and how its constituents should act.”

Poetry By Ace & Amber #1: Spirit Conversation

Listening to your soul, what do you hear?

All paths lead home my dear

What is happening in this universal sphere?

Frequencies of love so near

Lost in the dark is the fear

Returning to the dream

We are travelling through the soul stream

All playing a part in each other’s journey

You are me,

I am you

We’ll both pull through

Thoughts of the earthly realm just flew

Distractions came, but we grew

Ascension is within

We are rising with our fellow kin

Letting go of the game outside

Creating your reality inside

Tapping into your hearts light

Overcoming this inner fight

Rejoicing in synchronicitic delight

Scientists Explain How The Growth of A Baby’s Brain “Literally Requires Positive Interaction”

  • “The Facts:

Neglect is abuse and can cause an underdeveloped brain in your child. Love, connection, attachment will do the opposite, and help your child’s brain grow in a healthy way.

  • Reflect On:

Babies do not have the capacity to meet their own needs; they rely on their caregivers. Attempting to allow them to “self-soothe” will do more harm than you may be aware of.

Loving your child will physically translate into a larger, healthier brain than children who suffer from extreme neglect, abuse and trauma. It’s true that children need to be loved and supported and not just so they can feel good about themselves, but so they can physically develop the way they are supposed to.

This is important information for parents to know, especially as there has been a debate over whether or not children, especially babies, should be attached with their mothers or if they should be left to ‘cry it out’ on their own, or ‘self-soothe.’ This goes beyond the child being independent and emotionally strong; it will impact how the child will develop physically into a healthy adult, and whether they will encounter mental health problems and addictive behavior as they grow up.

Brain Scans

The following image is a depiction of the brains of two children; the one on the left had an attentive caregiver who consistently loved, cared for, responded to and interacted positively with him. The brain of the child on the right was neglected, ignored and abused.

“The child on the right will grow into an adult who is less intelligent, less able to empathize with others, more likely to become addicted to drugs and involved in violent crime … and to develop mental and other serious health problems,” says an article published in The Telegraph in 2012.

According to UCLA Psychiatry Professor Allan Schore. a leading neurologist in the study of how the development of a child is affected by the amount of love given by its caregiver, “the growth of the baby’s brain literally requires positive interaction between mother and infant, the development of cerebral circuits depend on it.”

Hopefully soon this information will be such common knowledge and our children will be raised with the utmost care, love, and affection. But until then, it’s important to spread the word! If you found this information useful or know anyone who would, please share.

How To Stop Judging Yourself & Others

Welcome fellow souls to « The Human Family Crash Course Series, » a new project collaborated together by empress2inspire.blog and diosraw.com. Together we will be working on a different topic for each crash course; our first topic is focused on « Self Love. » Each topic will have eight posts with posts on Mondays and Thursdays. We hope you enjoy our series and we look forward to knowing how our posts have inspired you!

Learning to Stop Judging Yourself and Others

We all judge ourselves. We don’t even realise how hard we are on ourselves. Judging oneself and others affects our mindset and thoughts to a large extent.

Harsh judgments will poison your life. It is a vicious cycle that was learned. When we judge other people we also judge ourselves in the same way. If you have a negative perception of yourself, it is probably because someone did that to you. When we were born on planet earth we never thought anything bad about ourselves. We never judged anyone or anything. Because judging is so ingrained in all of us since childhood, it is highly unlikely that we will get over it but what we can do is become consciously aware of it, work through it and with it so that it does not hold us back or make us a mean person.

Here are some ways in which we can start becoming aware of that little dictator who is trying to control your life inside of you and start learn to letting it go :

● Forgiveness – First it is important to forgive yourself. You must understand what you are feeling, doing and have learned. The quicker you accept your programming, the quicker you start healing. Look for danger signs and red flags for what you attract in your life. Being critical is a part of your history and you are drawn to what you are familiar with. So forgive yourself because you didn’t know better then. Breathe in deeply and breathe out and let go. Repeat it again till the time you feel lighter.

Write It Down – Take 30 minutes to write down or just say out loud all the judgments you have for yourself. For example saying things like I am lazy, not good enough, fat, stupid, there are so many things. Also use this time to write down or say out loud all the judgements you have made for other people. Everytime you hear yourself saying something negative or judgments about anything, take a note to reflect on it later. This list should be lengthy, so don’t shy away. Write down even positive judgements. You will start to see some patterns on why you make judgements.

Allowance – Allow yourself to feel the judgment that you are having because it is a human thing. Just like negative thinking we have to break the cycle pattern of judgement. When we judge ourselves and we are not aware of it, we act out of it like we will have a tantrum. Now as we are learning to be aware of our judgement, we then allow it to not let us control ourselves. By feeling it emotionally and physically we can then ask ourselves if we want to hold on or let go of this judgment. Do what feels right for no, no pressure..or no judge…oops!

● De-construct Judgement – If someone has judged you or you have judged someone hard and that has affected you a lot, remember it’s just an opinion, it is not an end all. Know that when someone is judging you, it speaks more about how they judge themselves than how they are judging you. Judgement is a way to control lives either ours or others. Everyone is chasing a self made ideal. People have rigid expectations. Get over it, let that go. You are enough. Pray for the person to be well and send some healing vibes to them.

Recognising self judgement is one thing but letting it go is a much harder task, I understand that. I am barely even trying to do that myself. So just again think of letting go as pre-emptive forgiveness of self and others. Instead of suppressing negative emotions and fester, let it go.

How To Stop Hating Your Body

Learning how to stop hating your body and learning how to appreciate your body

Welcome fellow souls to « The Human Family Crash Course Series, » a new project collaborated together by empress2inspire.blog and diosraw.com. Together we will be working on a different topic for each crash course; our first topic is focused on « Self Love. » Each topic will have eight posts with posts on Mondays and Thursdays. We hope you enjoy our series and we look forward to knowing how our posts have inspired you!

We all have aches and pains and sometimes subconsciously we start hating our body out of anger and frustration. When stuff like this happens, it seems that everything else is going wrong. It takes a toll on our mental health as well physically. It is hard to be in a place of accepting what is happening to your body in this position.

So how can you appreciate your body when there is so much pain and frustration?

Stop Blaming your Body for your Unhappiness – Instead of having compassion for your body that it was trying to tell you something was wrong and needed care, you get angry. When pain comes, sometimes we are not able to go about our daily activities, go out and about and do anything that keeps our mind busy. During this time, it is important to find an activity which keeps you busy, like journaling or catch up on some reading or any other relaxing activity which will not aggravate the pain and allow the body time to heal. Get back to the state of gratitude for slowing down.

Recognise and Honor your Feelings – It is okay to feel anger and sadness when you are going through pain or tough times. It is normal to have these strong emotions so recognise them and express them. You have the right. You don’t have to get over it immediately or force yourself to stay positive. No.

Acknowledge your feelings. Talk to yourself like a loved one does and ask yourself what’s bothering you? Be honest with yourself. Your feelings are legit and empathise with yourself.

Change Direction and Express Gratitude for All That is Going Right in your Life – Now that you have acknowledged and given yourself compassion about your feelings, you can start to support yourself through gratitude. So focus on the good in your life during the stressful and painful times and I know it’s easier said than done. If you are unable to find reasons to be grateful, feel your pulse and be grateful for it. Be grateful that you are still breathing and there is someone in this world who loves you for who you are.

Take a deep breath and take one day at a time for healing your body. Be more in the present with your body needs and care for them. It is not selfish to take care of yourself.

Did this post help? Do share your thoughts, looking forward to reading them.
