9 Energy Centres

There are 9 energy centres in human design body graphs. The crucial thing to understand is that each centre ‘communicates’ and crosses over with the designs of other people, meshing together in a daily dance and influencing all our interactions on a moment-by- moment basis. These invisible energies are forever interweaving by simply being in the same room as someone else. So, on the surface, our eyes and mouths may well be doing all the obvious communicating, but it’s the powerful undercurrents of the nine centres that are doing the real work, pulling out strings on a deep bio-energetic level.

The 9 Centres are as follows :

The Crown
The Mind
The Throat
The Self
The Heart
The Spleen
The Emotions
The Sacral
The Root

Once you understand how different designs interface, engage and communicate, you’re better able to understand the dynamics and under currents running beneath all relationships and associations. It is basic quantum physics – the fact that everything in the Universe consists of vibrations and energy and that we are an integral part of that same energy. All that needs to be understood is something which is supported by science – that the nine centres of the Human Design system interface between the Universe’s energy and the energy within all of us, translating it into individual functions and expressions.

5 Energy Types

What type of person do you think you are? If you had one minute to sum up your nature with a self-appraisal that allowed you to be understood and recognized on first impression, what would you say?

The world is a colourful assortment of approximately seven billion different characters and there are endless descriptions of different types. Sometimes we’re identified by our jobs and professions: the executive type, the labourer type or care-giving type. Or we stand out by personality: the shy type, the confident type, the thoughtful type or reckless type.

Which is where Human Design comes in. It recognizes five types of person, five types that we’re designed to be:

-Manifesting generators

Your type is determined by noting which centres, if any, you have defined, and to which other centres they connect. Put simply, your type depends on which of the nine centres are in colour. It reveals some of the most insightful information about you – and others. And once you understand someone’s natural state of being, it allows you to rethink your approach to them. Of course, old habits die hard, and long-established behavioural patterns are notoriously difficult to break. But Human Design encourages us to break down stereotypes, see the real person and interact in a far more authentic way.

The BodyGraph

Every human being carries a unique encoding by birth, a basic structure for the self. Life is oriented towards the unfolding of these innate potentials. The Human Design chart, called the Body Graph, is a visual representation of the sum total of human possibilities and energies. The entire archetype of humanity is contained within the structural framework of the chart. In other words, all of the possibilities for the expression of being human is in the chart. The Body Graph shows us the different ways we love, hate, lead, follow, learn, know, grow and so much more.

There are 32 channels in the Human Design Body graph. Each channel has two halves called the Gates. So there are 64 gates. The 64 gates correlate to the 64 Hexagrams in the I’Ching. Each active gate in your chart adds a different flavour to your “personality”. It is not an accident that the graphic construct of tone, the triangle, because in fact color is a hexagon and base is a square that tone graphically is a triangle and this triangle mirrors, in an eerie way, it mirrors the BodyGraph itself.

In other words, this is the underlying architecture. This is the basic plan that’s here underneath, but by the time that basic plan, that tone is integrated holistically into the vehicle we don’t know whether that information has actually moved across. Because color is something that transfers and if somebody is not-self they are cut off from their cognition, and therefore they’re cut off from their architecture underneath.

How Astrology and Human Design Compare and Contrast

When we get deeper into the actual system, we actually see that it sort of combines these 4 ancient systems.

Astrology – Because the human design chart is actually created on the basis of your birth date. There is this moment of birth, the time and the place. Time is however not that important in human design as it is in astrology because design doesn’t actually work with 4 angels in the chart which is the ascendant, the angle of career, the angle of the home and the angle of the partnership. Planets, just like in astrology, there are planets in human design but instead of activating houses and area of life experiences in astrology and signs of the zodiac, in human designs, we look at plants located in these 9 energy centres. They are also going to be in 64 gates. The gates are actually related to the genetic codons that we all carry. There are 64 codons in our DNA.

What is fascinating is that there are 64 hexagrams in the I-Ching book which is the ancient chinese divination oracle. It was very popular in the 60s and Carl Jung was using it, talking about it and traditionally you would use sticks to create lines to make Yin and Yang patterns. So the Yang lines were the solid lines and yin were the broken lines, the masculine and feminine coming together. The way it used to work is that you would toss it 6 times and a hexagram would be formed from this series of lines. Those hexagrams were formed out of two trigrams and the trigrams in chinese cosmology have to do with what’s called a Bagua. This is the 8 archetypes of nature. When these 8 combine with each other, we will have 64 possibilities in these hexagrams. Those hexagrams are living within us as our genetic codons. These codons are located in the energy centres in our bodygraph.

These energy centres are similar to the chakras in our body. This is in accordance with the Vedic Hindu & Chakra System. They are also similar to the sephoras in the Kabbalah. These energy centres combine with each other with what we can use these 36 channels. This is again similar to the tree of life which has the 2 pathways. In Human Design when we look at the biographies, it sort of resonates with others system like Astrology, the I-ching and the Kabbalah and the Vedic Hindu Chakra system,

There is another system which defines our Human Design system and that basically starts 88 days before we were born. When you look at a bodygraph, you will find planets which are in black and there are lines in black, then you will look at red or pink lines and planets. The ones in black is known as conscious personality and the other ones in pink and red signify the 88 days before we were born which is unconscious personality.

Conscious personality is dependent upon where the planets are in your chart and in which house. So you are going to be aware of it. The unconscious is operating at the same time but below the surface. You may not be as aware in your daily life. The unconscious has a lot to do with inherited patterns and there are two ways in which it may be operating :
Genetic or Ancestral
Soul level or Karmic residue
When we look at the bodygraph, both the calculations are very significant.

The History & Theory Of Human Design

The Human Design System. An emerging system of empowered self awareness. Designing is the tool of how you are on the genetic level and it provides a laser pointed insight on how your energy interacts with others and how you can live and choose authentically and what’s right for you, in love, in career, travel and all of life’s biggest decisions.

Albert Einstein once said, “A new type of thinking is essential if mankind is to survive and move to higher levels.”

The History and Theory of Human Design

Human Design came through the 80’s and it was channelled and received by a man who then went by the name of “Ra”. This system is a really profound tool and what Human Design practitioners say is just live your design, live the experiment, and see what happens. Human Design is basically a sign of differentiation. It says that we all are 99.9% genetically identical but what we are interested in is that 0.1% that makes us different. Human Design also has the ability to show our conditioning, how we get influenced or affected by our environment and by relationships. It offers profound insights and inexplicable wisdom in every area of our lives including the kind of career we will choose, relationships, the home environment, even talks to us about our sleep patterns and what’s healthier for that. Family relationships are probably the most important aspect of what affects our human design system.

If we look at the history a little bit, in 1987, this is when “Ra” who was formerly an entrepreneur himself, a magazine publisher, ad executive and also a musician. He was on an island of Ibiza in Spain and he had this profound and life altering experience where he received the system through what was called the voice over a period of 8 days. There is a human design system video from Ra on youtube where he describes how intense this experience was and was excruciating even. Basically the voice shared with him this kind of cosmology for the mechanics of the universe. It was both mystical and scientific at the same time and Ra has these experiences of insomnia, confusion. Headaches and what he thought was insanity coming his way. In the years that followed, he slowly started with individuals and friends and clients and that is when he really started to see value in this system. Since its inception in 1987, we have this system of Human Design practised all over the world. In many countries there have been conferences and quite a few books written now.

The True Meaning Of Ghosts, Spirits & Demons

Welcome fellow souls to « The Human Family Crash Course Series, » a new project collaborated together by and Together we will be working on a different topic for each crash course; our third topic is focused on «Western Esotericism.» Each topic will have eight posts with posts on Mondays and Thursdays. You’ve most likely wondered at some point in your life: what are the true meanings of ghosts, spirits and demons? Below is a brief explanation of these terms and what they mean.

We tend to use the word “ghost” and “spirit” interchangeably but there is a strong difference between them. According to the late Hans Holzer, professor of Parapsychology and writer of around 119 books on the subject, “Ghosts are similar to troubled human beings, incapable of reasoning for themselves. … Spirits on the other hand are the surviving personalities of all of us who pass through the door of death in a relatively normal fashion.”

Ghosts are beings who are tied to the location of their death, usually a sudden, traumatic or tragic one, and they often don’t realize that they are dead. In most cases, they have “unfinished business” as the deceased person does not accept or even understand the way in which they died. The briefest form of unfinished business can be as innocent as a person being attached so strongly to their home that they cannot leave it behind and pass over. Known as “caretakers”, they want to stay to make sure the building is being taken care of properly by future owners and also to their approval. At the end of the scale, unfinished business can take the form of dark energy when a person’s death is extremely violent and unexpected. These beings are not necessarily malevolent, many are mischievous and benevolent who don’t know where they are. In order for them to return home, they need to be guided to their guides on the other side by a spiritual healer for example.

Spirits, on the other hand, are not tied or stagnant to one place. It is believed that spirits are discarnate entities, meaning that they are the soul that has survived when a person dies and no longer has a physical body in which to reside. They are free to move from one dimension to another and can return to us at free will. Often it is just a genuine, emotional tie to a loved one, such as wanting a family member to know that a deceased relative is okay, that can be the cause of a visit by a spirit.

Surprisingly, only a small percentage of paranormal sightings are true ghosts. The majority of them are really sightings of what we call “residual energy” — when an emotionally charged or tragic event is being replayed over and over again, at the same spot, and at the same time affecting other people’s energy in their auric field.

Demons (“maras” in Sanskrit) are not the bloodthirsty ghouls waiting for us in dark corners; these demons are within us. They are energies we experience every day, such as fear, illness, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and addiction. Things that drain our energy and block us from being completely awake is a demon. The approach of giving form to these abstract inner forces and feeding them, rather than struggling against them, was originally articulated by an 11th-century female Tibetan Buddhist teacher named Machig Labdrön (1055–1145). The spiritual practice Machig developed was called Chöd, and it generated such great results that it became very popular, spreading throughout Tibet and beyond that border. All of us carry demons inside. We catch fleeting glimpses of them, sometimes we witness them in full frontal chaos, but mostly, we ignore and bury their existence either out of fear, guilt or pure shame. Discovering and owning our demons is a vital part of our spiritual journey. As psychotherapist Steve Wolf said: “Beneath the social mask we wear every day, we have a hidden shadow side: an impulsive, wounded, sad, or isolated part that we generally try to ignore.” The Shadow can be a source of richness, acknowledging it can be a path to healing and an authentic life. In other words, the Shadow isn’t just the wounded part of us, the demon, but the path towards a more authentic life. In order to repair, heal, and grow on a mental, emotional, and spiritual level, we need to practice Shadow Work. Shadow Work is a spiritual practice that aids us to become whole again. It works on the premise that you must take responsibility for your Shadow, rather than avoiding or repressing it, to experience deep healing and soul evolution.

We hope this post helped you grasp an understanding of the true meaning of ghosts, spirits and demons. Let us know below your interpretation of these concepts..
