What’s this burning feeling inside

Where does the seat of your soul reside?

Letting this feeling be my guide

This cosmic journey takes me on a ride

That aching within that’s always cried

You can search any far away land

Across mountains, rivers and deserts, oh so grand

You can change your resting place

But that something in your core you’ll always face

Dreaming of the past

Where this feeling didn’t last

Longing for a new role in this cast

Or just a change of scenery

It’s all I asked

Then I heard the voice

Telling my it’s my choice

In this realization, I rejoice

It was hidden in plain sight all along

Now I hear the universal song

It was never external, what’s internal always made me strong

My inner fire was always peeking

Now it’s speaking
